Administrative Professional Senior, Center for Spatial Planning Analytics and Visualization
Stephanie Merrick is administrative manager for the Center for Spatial Planning Analytics and Visualization (CSPAV) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Ga. Her focus is on creating an engaging and friendly environment for graduate students who enter the CSPAV research center.
Over the past five years, Merrick has been a full-time graduate student while working in the center. She graduated with a Ph.D. in Leadership and Organizational Change in 2018. Her dissertation is titled “Employee Engagement from the Viewpoint of Employees in Academia.”
Apart from her job duties, Merrick has been an instructor at Georgia Tech for the last 10 years, teaching undergraduate students how to transition from high school into higher learning and transfer students how to transition from other academic institutions.
Merrick was appointed to serve on the Faculty Benefits Committee (FBC) as the secretary by the Faculty Executive Board. She also serves on several diversity and inclusion committees, such as the Annual Diversity Symposium and The MLK planning committee. She also completed the Inclusive Leaders Academy.
