Georgia Planning Association Fellowship

This award is given to students at the time of admission, but we honor them annually. Congrats!

Thera Richter Fellowship

The Thera Richter Fellowship is given to female students at the time of admission to the MCRP program judged to be the most qualified applicant, based upon her undergraduate record and planning related experience.

Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year

Teaching assistants play an important role in the undergraduate educational experience at Georgia Tech. Outstanding TA's are recognized for their contributions through an annual awards program coordinated by the Center for Teaching and Learning in collaboration with academic units. Each unit nominates their choice of winner and the Center for Teaching and Learning chooses an overall winner.

GPA Student of the Year Award

Ruth Pimentel

We have the practice of naming an outstanding graduating master’s student as the Georgia Planning Association Student of the Year.

Ruth was lauded by faculty for her performance in classes. She is very smart and hardworking, and faculty stated that she would be a superstar in practice or as a future Ph.D. candidate. Her work with Park Pride has been excellent.

AICP Outstanding Student Award

Shikha Jerath

The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding attainment in the study of planning by a student who is being graduated from an accredited program during the academic year of the award.

Shika has worked tirelessly to make sure that the student voice is well-represented in all areas of the School. Faculty stated that she has been a critical contributor to setting the community norms we all love about SCaRP. Furthermore, her academic record is exemplary. Faculty stated that she has been an incredible student, and will be an outstanding professional.
