Academic Program Manager, School of City & Regional Planning
As the Academic Program Manager for the School of City and Regional Planning, Sara provides administrative support for faculty and students, primarily with budget tracking, monitoring travel and material expenses, processing faculty and student hiring appointments, and managing overall program operations. She has her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Humanities from Florida State University, where she focused on art history and classical literature in her undergraduate and film theory in her graduate careers. Previously, she taught humanities survey and film appreciation courses at FSU.
Sara moved to Atlanta in 2014 for the myriad cultural opportunities offered by the city, and Atlanta has exceeded her expectations. You can often find her catching a musical at The Fox Theatre, watching an independent release at Midtown Art Cinema, laughing uncontrollably during a comedy improvisation show at Dad’s Garage, or walking the Beltline on weekends. If you stop by her office, she will undoubtedly try to convince you that The Wire and Battlestar Galactica are the greatest TV shows ever made.
She is happy to be a part of the City and Regional Planning team and loves working at Georgia Tech!
