Jessica is an academic professional with a background in the humanities; she graduated with a BA and MA in Applied Linguistics. Jess has spent years in the classroom as an ESL instructor, educating college-aged students and adults in English to prepare them for their academic pursuits. Jess has presented and lectured locally and internationally regarding her research on the cognitive and emotional effects of childhood maltreatment on adult L2 acquisition and the best teaching methods to support these students in a communicative classroom.
Jess brings her professional background and perspective to the SCaRP team, where she hopes to use her directing experience and organizational skills to foster an efficient and supportive environment for faculty, staff, students, and alumni alike.
